This is the DW incarnation of LJ's NaCraMaMo community. I have not transferred the LJ community and may not ever do so, as I am not the original creator.
October is NATIONAL CRAFT-MAKING MONTH!
The community was originally created on LJ as the Original Creator's answer to NaNoWriMo. Craft every day, and post the results everyday, in the month of October!
Quick FAQ
Does it have to be a project every day?
You don't have to do a single project every day. You can do multiple projects in one day or only one for the month. The only rule is to make some kind of progress every day.
What are the content restrictions?
The only content restrictions are things of a sexual nature, the excessively violent, or nudity. The maintainers understand that different people have different ideas of what is or isn't appropriate, but we feel that these guidelines cover the majority of bases without getting too restricted.
What sort of things can be posted here besides craft projects?
Anything about arts and crafts! Project ideas, site recommendations, a plea for help! You name it, you can post it.
Do we have to start on the 1st of October?
No. You can start anytime during October, but you have to do a consecutive thirty-one days of progress and picture-posting on your chosen project(s). No, the maintainers won't be breathing down your neck about this, but that is the spirit of the challenge!
Do we even have to do this in October?
No. You can do this any time of the year you'd like. We just named October as the "official" month for NaCraMaMo because it's when we're opening our doors to the public.
