Hey, It's October already! (Again) - Getting started and Introduction

I very much forgot to get the rah-rah going on in here for National Craft Making Month...

Here I am! And hopefully YOU will join me!

Let's craft every day in October and then post a picture every day of our progress!

If you decide to join me in this October challenge, please post an introduction - who you are, what crafting you like to do, and what crafting you think you'll do this October.

If you've been here before, not much about me has changed, except I, and my children, keep getting older!

My projects for this year's NaCraMaMo will be a stichalong from MadXStitcher that I am already weeks behind on (it really requires stitching at least 150 stitches a day, and most days, I'm good for about 50), and making the Lolirock Iris Princess costume for one of my girls for Halloween . I have a whackload of UFOs that I might touch on, and I'm still trying to get my craft room/office organized.

Intro

I completely forgot I had joined this comm, so I had no idea this challenge was coming up, but what a nice surprise! I just so happen to be in a super crafty mood, so I'm tempted to participate. I won't manage to do anything today anymore though; it's almost bedtime where I live :/

As for the crafts I'd be doing: I'm currently in training to become a professional bookbinder, so I'm doing bookbinding a few times a week anyway and might show some of it here. I'm not working on anything fancy at the moment though, just practising basic skills, but hey, that's progress too.

I've become fascinated by soap making recently and have been experimenting with it a bit already. I have a few more ideas I really want to try, so I might make a couple more soaps this month!

I'm not sure if cooking counts, but I am planning to experiment a lot with cooking in the last two weeks of October. I really enjoy cooking (and baking) but don't always have the time to do it extensively. Later in October I will have that time though, and I intend to use it :D

Last, I have a few very simple sewing projects lying around that I really need to finish, but haven't managed yet. Hopefully this challenge will give me the motivation to do it!
