Hello! I am your very exhausted moderator, and I am shamelessly mostly recycling my intro message from previous years:

I'm a Domestic Goddess (if you have to manage 5 different diets and preferences and still manage to eat mostly the same meal, you ARE a goddess!), and parent to nearly 14-year-old-twins. I've been dealing with ME/CFS (finally diagnosed in January 2025) for the past 30 months. In the past I've done a lot of beading and cross stitch, but the illness makes that harder these days and I can only do them in short bursts. What I do most lately is rescue second hand yarn, wash it, wind it up, and make things with it, most recently an uncounted number of loom-knitted baby hats for an NP organization and other loom knitted items, such as kerchiefs, bookmarks, and axolotls. Latch hook rugs also work for me wonderfully when my brain doesn't work fully. My now-medicated brain allowed me to finish a small needlepoint project recently that I couldn't focus on last year, so maybe I'll get some more stitching done. I picked up a couple of small cross stitch projects to work on, to see if my brain can mange cross stitch again.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you!

I'm a Domestic Goddess (if you have to manage 5 different diets and preferences and still manage to eat mostly the same meal, you ARE a goddess!), and parent to nearly 13-year-old-twins. I've been dealing with an as-yet-undiagnosed fatigue illness for the past 18 months. In the past I've done a lot of beading and cross stitch, but the illness makes that harder these days and I can only do them in short bursts. What I do most lately is rescue second hand yarn, wash it, wind it up, and make things with it, most recently an uncounted number of loom-knitted baby hats for an NP organization and some loom-knitted axolotls. Latch hook rugs also work for me wonderfully when my brain doesn't work fully. I'm also currently trying to get back into stitching; however, that's probably not going to be my focus.

About the only project I'd really like to get done for nacramamo is the refurbishing of my autumn door wreath. I made it some time ago, and it got left on the door for the entire last year, so it's looking really sad right now. Other things will get done as I have energy, but you're likely to see more yarn refurbishing and loom knitting than anything else.

Hi all! I am your erstwhile community maintainer and cheerleader. I'm a Domestics Goddess (if you have to manage 5 different diets and preferences and still manage to eat mostly the same meal, you ARE a goddess!), and parent to nearly 12-year-old-twins. I've been dealing with injury, surgery, and mono (and getting ready to jump down the ME/CFS rabbithole) for the past YEAR. I've picked up a few new hobbies, though; I've learned to loom knit (mostly hats and fingerless gloves, but I'm branching out), and darn socks and do decorative mending, and I continue to bead and cross stitch when my brain has the spoons.

As for projects from me, you're probably going to see a lot of knitting, a lot of yarn washing and winding, some WIP finishing (I have a lot of cross stitch projects that need washing, mounting and framing) and probably some mending, because all of those things take less spoons than jewelry design/making and cross stitch counting.

I hope others decide to join in this month!

Hey all!

One week to go before NaCraMaMo! As a reminder, October is National Craft Making Month. The challenge is to craft every day during October!

Are you planning to participate? Do you have a plan, or are you going to wing it?

I made some crafting goals for 2023, and I'm going to work on some of those - primarily try to get some WIPs finished, continue creating baby hats, and maybe, if I get enough energy, get my craft storage put together (I've been recovering from injury, followed by illness during this year, so my energy level is pretty low).

Please introduce yourself, and let us know what we might see from you!

Hi group,

I probably won't be participating as much as in previous years. I'm back at the art college for my final year and it's exhausting!

But, I'll try to post here and there when I can and come back to enjoy your progress pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving to any Canadian peeps!

Hello! I've been in and out here for a few years now. I do lots of random crafts, crochet, paper crafts, painting, sewing, coloring, random odds and ends. Aside from crafting, I'm also a mom to an 11 year old girl and a cat and dog. There's a husband too, but I don't do much crafting for him lol. Life has been a bit stressful these last few months, so getting into some crafting would be good.

Today I worked on my signs for the Women's March tomorrow.

Going forward, I hope to finish the haunted house doll house I started last week, a crochet project I started YEARS ago, and a t-shirt quilt.

I hope everyone is doing well!

Hi all,

I am your worldly-burdened moderator, LadyThmpr (I don't use my real name in social media). I'm a domestic Goddess and SAHM to twin girls almost 10. For crafting, I mostly bead, cross stitch, and bake, with occasional forays into latch hook, sewing, ceramic painting, and mixed-media.

This year, my household is moving into our very own house sometime in late October or early November, so most of my brain will be dealing with that in addition to all the usual everyday stuff. I expect that I'm not going to get very much crafting done. In addition, I'm going to limit my crafting (mostly) to my current cross-stitch WIP, as it's small and portable, and I have to search less for its component parts. :)

I'm looking forward to seeing all the wonderful and varied crafts all of you do during NaCraMaMo!

Hello! I can't believe its October either. Time has no meaning in my house any more.

My crafting is random and sporadic, but I need to get better about doing things for myself, so hopefully this will help. With my daughter doing online school this year, time is hard to come by for me.

I enjoy crochet, paper crafts, sewing (though my machine is broken :( ), and anything that catches my fancy.

I have a crochet project that I desperately need to finish. It was supposed to be a Christmas gift LAST YEAR. I'm hoping I can finish it for this year.

Today I made a card for my dad's wedding tomorrow and I hemmed in my dress to wear.

Hi all,

I am your worldly-burdened moderator, LadyThmpr (I don't use my real name in social media). I'm a domestic Goddess and SAHM to twin girls almost 9, who are distance learning this fall, which takes up most of my daytime hours. For crafting, I mostly bead, cross stitch, and bake, with occasional forays into latch hook, sewing, ceramic painting, and mixed-media.

For this year's NaCraMaMo challenge, I want to finish reorganizing the office/craft storage room ( I started mid-September) and occasionally work on a beading (some of them only need findings, for goodness sake!) or cross stitch WIP.

I've not been feeling much like creating this year (I feel burdened even though I've not suffered from the pandemic, and then I feel guilty), but I'd really like to be able to find all my craft stuff and actually FINISH something.

Holy moly, I thought it was STILL March!!!

I've not created much this year. Honestly, it's been a year of just getting through it. However, I think I'm still going to do the challenge anyway.

Come join me in any way that the challenge makes sense to you.

Please post an introduction, and let us know what you might work on.

I very much forgot to get the rah-rah going on in here for National Craft Making Month...

Here I am! And hopefully YOU will join me!

Let's craft every day in October and then post a picture every day of our progress!

If you decide to join me in this October challenge, please post an introduction - who you are, what crafting you like to do, and what crafting you think you'll do this October.

If you've been here before, not much about me has changed, except I, and my children, keep getting older!

My projects for this year's NaCraMaMo will be a stichalong from MadXStitcher that I am already weeks behind on (it really requires stitching at least 150 stitches a day, and most days, I'm good for about 50), and making the Lolirock Iris Princess costume for one of my girls for Halloween . I have a whackload of UFOs that I might touch on, and I'm still trying to get my craft room/office organized.

I'm looking forward to seeing all your lovely art and craft work!
