2024 Introduction
Sep. 30th, 2024 08:10 pmHello! I am your very exhausted moderator, and I am shamelessly mostly recycling my intro message from previous years:
I'm a Domestic Goddess (if you have to manage 5 different diets and preferences and still manage to eat mostly the same meal, you ARE a goddess!), and parent to nearly 13-year-old-twins. I've been dealing with an as-yet-undiagnosed fatigue illness for the past 18 months. In the past I've done a lot of beading and cross stitch, but the illness makes that harder these days and I can only do them in short bursts. What I do most lately is rescue second hand yarn, wash it, wind it up, and make things with it, most recently an uncounted number of loom-knitted baby hats for an NP organization and some loom-knitted axolotls. Latch hook rugs also work for me wonderfully when my brain doesn't work fully. I'm also currently trying to get back into stitching; however, that's probably not going to be my focus.
About the only project I'd really like to get done for nacramamo is the refurbishing of my autumn door wreath. I made it some time ago, and it got left on the door for the entire last year, so it's looking really sad right now. Other things will get done as I have energy, but you're likely to see more yarn refurbishing and loom knitting than anything else.

Date: 2024-10-01 10:16 am (UTC)WOW! That's an incredible feat.
I also have an energy limiting chronic illness (ME/CFS since 2005, diagnosed 2022) so… solidarity high five.
