Hopefully yesterday makes up for the rest of the week that I wasn't crafting. October is unusually sunny and warm lately and I think the weather is confusing everyone. We had a freak dump of snow the other week and no one quite knows what to do! We just come home from work and flop on the couch with our phones. It was exhausting.

Yesterday Mom and I went to a bi-annual fibre festival called The Fibre Shindig. I have been wanting to go for years, but, as you can imagine, it's a pretty dangerous place. I don't need more yarn. However, TECHNICALLY I didn't buy new yarn. I just bought the supplies to make yarn ;-) I bought a drop spindle, merino wool roving and a cute bag.

Today I sat down to try out the drop spindle. The last time I did it was briefly as part of a textiles class in art college. It was relaxing and I did drop it a few times, hehe. The vendor who sold me the wool roving said that it was a gateway to buying a spinning wheel *gulp*

Day 20

Between it being my kids' birthday, and the 6th day of terrible post root canal pain, and the emergency dentist visit it entailed (apparently, I am rare and unfortunate, and not worthy of more pain meds that will work for me), I did not get any crafting done.

Day 21

I decided to really distract myself today with various video things, and a new mystery Steotchalong that actually started a week ago. I'm also a pushover for Tumblr encouragement and a glutton for punishment. And maybe I wanted to get away from confetti for a while. Anyway, I picked out my colors and got about half of the week 1 chart done (and week 2 was released yesterday).
