Day 17, 18, 19 - Halloween Crafts

I'll have some photos to share when the projects are done, but our community is having a little outdoor Halloween party and I'm making photo booth frames.

The logistics were challenging because I didn't know where to find enough cardboard. Then I discovered tempura paint (powdered paint in a can) is no longer a thing, LOL.

Some free cardboard showed up via a package, but I ended up going to Michaels and Dollarama to get cardboard trifolds in black and white and cutting them up into four strips.

The one frame I tried to paint orange--well, I wasn't going to wait all day for enough coats of orange to happen :-D Back to Dollarama where I bought some orange poster board and wrapped the sides. I need the frames to be durable enough to last an afternoon of potentially rough handling!

As to decorating them, I bought some giant stickers from Dollarama as well. Now I just have to put it all together today :-D

Days 11, 12, 13, 14

Working on my Mill Hill kit "Haunted Graveyard". Hoo boy is this thing going to have a lot of beads.

Day 11, progress on the purples:


Day 12, done with the pale blue and pale grey which are probably indistinguishable from the pale violet:


Day 13, starting the dark brown on black and swearing I'll never complain about pastels again:


Day 14, more dark brown on black, there is worse to come (black on black is next):

I swear there are some black stitches here. Not many, but some. This is going to take a really long time.

I tried some physical crafting today, if this can count as crafting. My girlfriend suggested that it helps to doodle or write or scribble when I get in a bit of a spiral, and she also gave me some notebooks she didn't end up using for her work as well as some Taylor Swift themed stickers so I decorated one of the books as a dedicated sad scared stressed place.
