The week in review

nacramamoSo, I mostly try to do something creative on a daily basis. It's just something that I have to do!
Lately my thing has been getting organized. We had a small water leak in the spring that meant big changes for our household. Nothing was damaged, but it was a huge motivator to clean up. One of the restoration tasks was off-site storage and, well, it was embarrassing enough that strangers had to see all our crap, and another for them to go through our crap! When the crew showed up to prep the space, we had done most of the work already.
October 1 - I'm actually back in art college to finish my degree. I'm taking a lecture class. I have access to the art supply store and hopefully it counts that I resisted going in there ;D
October 2 - this was a snow day! We had an unusual dump of snow. It took me two hours to get to work and I wish I had taken a vacation day. I did get some crafting in - cutting out chickadees for Christmas cards.
October 3 - I started sketching some Christmas card designs and planning for craft sales.
October 4 - this was my birthday! I spent it with my craft club. We made two Christmas cards and enjoyed some cake.
October 5 - I had crafternoon with a neighbour who is also a mature student. We cut out and stamped pieces for cards. It was awesome! Now that the basement is cleaned up and presentable, I can have people over for games and crafting. I'm kind of kicking myself for not doing this earlier - but that's the thing - you always think "Some day!"
