yourlibrarian: Phryne Fisher in Blue (MISSFISH-PhryneinBlue-meganbmoore)

The enamel and glass pin seemed very 1920s to me, and I wanted to match the soft look. Added three kinds of green glass bead, both stone looking and frosted glass.

I was originally trying to decide whether to glitz it up with the larger metal beads and glass studded balls, or to use metal drums to bracket some clear glass and make it seem more wing-like. Ended up deciding to do both!

I'm an absolute sucker for dragonflies. Many years ago, when I was in town, a real dragonfly landed on my belt buckle. It didn't want to leave, so I had to walk home pushing my bike. That dragonfly stayed on my belt for more than two hours, and since then, I've just been fascinated by them.

Beautiful necklace!

It was an unforgettable experience. I think it just wanted a lift to someplace nicer than the busy town centre. We have a pond in the back garden, so I'm sure the new environment suited it better.

I have a lot of dragonfly brooches. Can never resist when I see them.

Yes ...
